|Our health: it’s really all that matters. All that we value, our quality of life, depends on our health and that of our friends, family, and neighbors. And we believe that taking care of ourselves doesn’t have to be such a threatening process. It can be much easier, if we can just learn to take care of each other. Health care is far too important to be left to the politicians. If all the players in health care – patients, physicians, hospitals and clinics, pharmacies, insurers and employers – could commit to learning anew to take care of each other, the market would bring things into balance.
And if we can provide free market incentives to each of these players to do just that, it will happen. That is what the Patient-Physician Alliance is all about: a free market path to health care reform from the bottom up, not the top down. Working together, we can make American health care once again the role model for the world. It’s time we learned to take care of each other.
